Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care

Overview

The QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 4 is an entirely new training programme and is specifically for those working with adults in a health and social care setting.


Accredited by FutureQuals, this course ensures that carers with existing employment in adult care enhance their current skill set and deliver a higher quality of care. Students will complete a selection of both mandatory and optional units, with each unit holding a different credit value. Students must achieve a minimum total of 70 credits in order to pass the course.

Assessment

Our QCFs are completed via e-portfolio, but all students will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will be on hand to provide support throughout the QCF via phone and email. The assessor team is there to help students work to the best of their ability and complete the QCF in good time.

The e-portfolio is a collection of evidence submitted via our online portal, that verifies students’ competence in their chosen units. This evidence comprises a range of documents, varying from peer statements, presentations of evidence, and a series of question and answer sessions.

This evidence is usually collected via experience gained in the delegate’s workplace whilst they perform their usual working role and will cover a series of both competence and knowledge-based units.

As assessment takes place in the workplace, delegates must be employed in a relevant vocational setting in order to enrol on the course.

Duration

Delegates can complete their diploma in a time to suit them, and we do not have a set frame that students must adhere to. That being said, a good target time for completion time is around 9-12 months, although many of our students complete much sooner. If a student needs to put their diploma on hold, we do require a letter of commitment to the diploma so that they may return to the programme at a later date.
